favorite tvxq performance: proud; five in the black concert [♥]

starting from before the boys even enter the stage, the fans are chanting tohoshinki, tohoshinki, and then the intro to the song starts and the screams are overwhelming. the boys enter and you can tell that they can finally feel the love from the japanese crowd they have worked so hard to win over. jaejoong’s eyes are already looking kind of teary as he starts the song, as do our crybaby yoochun’s. by the time the first chorus comes around, junsu’s eyes look teary as well. the pride you can see in yunho when he gives the fan a thumb’s up is amazing. we all know that his trademark thumb’s up is in remembrance to his grandfather. i can only assume that when he finally feels accepted by the japanese fans, he wants to remember his loved ones, to share his pride. but it’s during the second verse that my eyes start watering as well. when yoochun and changmin start singing, yoochun’s voice can’t form the notes, and changmin and yunho look over, and there’s this look in changmin’s eyes. this oh hyung, you would, that is just so changmin that i just, i can’t ;~~; and then when yoochun can’t sing, jaejoong reaches out in slight laughter and chun turns around walks towards the back to hide his tears. but junsu, junsu won’t have it. he walks back and pulls yoochun back towards the five and keeps his hand on yoochun’s arm to keep him close, to offer his fellow member, his brother, comfort. and when junsu starts crying himself, causing him to stop singing, yoochun can’t help but laugh and and jaejoong just gives his little dongsaengs a look and i’m kind of bawling at this point because there’s just so much love in his eyes. and yunho-sshi. our dear, strong, leadersshi, who never shows weakness or emotion, who always wants to look strong for his members, for his fans, for everyone, he turns around and wipes tears from his eyes. and when they close the song with proud of your love, i am just so insanely grateful that i was introduced to these five boys, who put their hard work, sweat, tears, and so so so much love into making their fans proud of their love.

i’m kind of terrible with words, and i don’t think it is really, truly, possible to explain how much i love this performance. it’s proof of their popularity, their talent, their hard work, and their brotherhood all in one. they make me so, so proud to be part of this fandom ♥
